Last night's NFC Championship has me bummed. One of the league's greatest quarterbacks ended his career on an interception (or so it seems). I wrote a poem that I think embodies my bleak feelings.

Wikipedia says (and, uh, I think Wikipedia would -know-) that while haiku are traditionally 5/7/5, in Japanese they are written in a single line and count sounds not syllables. For example, "haiku" has three sounds in Japanese, but only three syllables in English. So, that really settles nothing.
I wish that Wikipedia had a "Settle Your Bet" function. Maybe it could be a Facebook app because that would make it cool. You could enter the two sides of a dispute and Wikipedia would declare a winner based on the "most correct" info, kind of like when you got 5/6 points on an essay in high school for not giving the "best answer," just most of it.
And you should be able to use PayPal to wager money. "Mike thinks that James Lipton is 75 and has wagered $25. Aaron thinks that James Lipton is 82 and has wagered $25. Is this information accurate? If so, CONFIRM to have Wikipedia settle your bet."
